Ah im so pissed off, because I wrote a really good blog and then after pressing send...it disappeared! I have to do it all over again now..
I moved. I told the landlord already after christmas that i'd move out, but i didnt make it. He came round to ask about me, but I was at work then. Neale told me that i could live at his loft for some time, so I packed my stuff (suprisingly everything fit in my bag!) and left to Neales place. I didnt want to get my flatmates into trouble, which probably wouldnt have happened because Usher the landlord is pretty cool. But still.. Living with one guy compared to living with five girls and a gay guy is different... VERY different. Rather than telling the girls to be quiet, I have to remind Neale not to let out his thoughts from his ass all the time. Im glad the windows are open all the time.
Leaving The House was sad. We spent so many good times together. I'd like to thank all of you for being such good friends to me, and I hope we can all get together later on. I probably havent told you about my flatmates that much, so I thought I'd give you a little insight into our lives at The House. I should start with my roommate, the best roommate you can have, Marie, our irish mummy, always so nice and cooking muffins for us!! I dont know if you can find a kinder person anywhere. Though I must say i've noticed some changes in her..that remind me of myself, or the person i've been told to be like. I think thats a good change! heheh! Claudia, our crazy german girl, is making sure she has a good time at the club! whether shes working or partying, she looks good and gets the good looking ones! Miki is our gift from Japan. A marvellous cook and my bundy drinking buddy. She's the one who really is persistant in taking everyone with her when theres a live band playing somewhere! Gotta love that girl. Ash, cracks me up, I dont know if theres anyone else who can make me laugh so much about stuff you thought you couldnt laugh about! I mean, who can crack a joke about kayaks and rod holders.. haha! think about that. Then our kiwi sisters Carly and Terri, who to me, seem like the opposites of each other: one is going somewhere all the time, the other likes to hang out at home, clean & messy, loud & quiet...All together, lovely imaginative girls. I shouldnt forget to mention our flatmates who have already left. Leon, our aussie dude, was a cracker aswell, but somehow he never seemed to be here. It was always a pleasure to see and talk to him. And Ronan... Ronan, Ronan, Ronan.... How ever mean you try to be, it's not working. We all love you!! Since I decribed everyone in the house, I guess now is my turn.. I've been told that im: a cheery person, funny, always on the move (ie.something weird happens to me all the time), cute chicken, little liisa (even here they call me that), aware of how to use people for advantage - in a good way haheha..oh and many more. Feel free to add words of your own to the list.
My life in Melbourne definitely changed after moving, because I dont have that much company now at home. I work nights and everyone else at Neales lives during the day....like normal people! Work is really getting in me.. i dont enjoy myself as much as I used to. I've heard the same songs a thousand times, so they dont feel groovy anymore, and the customers just ARE dickheads. But the money is so good, that i do my job as well as I can. Though, yesterday I walked in and told my boss, that tuesday is my last day, because Im leaving soon. He wasnt too happy to let me go, but he said that if I come back I should let them know, so they can get me back to work.
Life all in all has been awesome in Melbourne. I really love this city, and I'd be more than happy to come back. Hopefully that will be soon. I know im going to be sad when im leaving.. theres so many good friends that I know im going to miss really bad. But i guess moving back to travelling is good. Reminds me of where I am and i'll be able to see more of the country that i've really grown to like. I can always come back, right?
We are gonna go outside to enjoy some drinks at the local and watch the sunset, and just enjoy ourselves. Though we will do that full on when we are going to celebrate Australia Day on the 26th of January, with THE PRODIGY on stage!! I cant wait! I hope you are all doing well back home, we are all well and no one has been eaten by a shark.
Love,
Liisa
p.s I really enjoy watching cricket nowadays! and the blog isnt as good as it was, but it'll do..
