After a mostly sleepless night (let's blame excitement not nerves, OK?) we had an early start. Check-in at Brisbane was a breeze, the inbound flight was about half an hour late, so there was no stress. We were one of the first there. I really enjoyed watching the day start at the airport.
Our first ever international flight, we were anxious to do everything right. The flight was the easy part!

I had never been on an Airbus before, let alone an A380, it was pretty exciting. The journey was very smooth and also very quiet.

After arrival, there was a big wait for luggage, with customs and border protection, etc, but we finally made it outside, then travelled to our accommodation.

The day was over early, we were very tired. We found a great little eatery nearby and had pizza and beer. Wandered around the city for a while then had an early night.
