Hi again everybody! Andy here!

It's the last morning here in Varkala. We're heading over to Tamil Nadu at 2pm today in an air-conditioned taxi. Looking forward to it.

There was a great experience this morning when we hit the beach before breakfast. We were the only ones in the sea, and were just wading out to use the boogey board when I saw out of the corner of my eye what looked like the spine of a smallish whale breaking the water about 20-30m away. Within seconds I firmly believed I was about to be eaten by Jaws. It turned out however that there was a pod of doplins right next to the coast that were hunting a shoal of fish they'd pushed into shallow water! We were slightly apprehensive as to what else the fish might attract, however we both made it out alive to have pancakes!

We've befriended the hotel owner, Naveen. He is from Tamil Nadu near to Tirunelveli and has invited us to stop by at his family home for some food whilst we're over there. We're intending to come back to the hotel here for the last few days after being with SCAD.

Off for some lunch now!
