Hola,
Lots has happened since the tour ended and we arrived in Lima, mainly that Claire has decided that she's had enough of Pedro. I can't blame her, estoy loco! Estoy "cuchiwatu".
So Claire has headed home, and to be honest, it's gonna be very different without her. There will be no one to have stubborn arguments with. It has been an absolute blast. A wonderful experience to travel with her, and I have really enjoyed getting to know her again over the last five months, and I will miss her lots. I'm sorry it ended like that mate.
But life goes on, c'est la vie. I'm toying with the idea of staying in Lima. Made contacts with someone who can give me some work designing webpages or portals, whatever they are. Payment is lodging and Spanish lessons, which will defo come in handy. Also asked about vacancies in a large format print company today. They've given me an address and a phone number to call. Taxi drivers are great for learning Spanish. Get ready for the blog in Spanish. Also an opportunity to work for a couple of weeks as a volunteer in the jungle. That you have to pay for, although 230 US$ is cheap for food and lodgings, staying at an eco lodge for 2 weeks.
Probably won't be coming to the States and Canada just yet, the flights alone are very expensive and my money goes a lot further here in Peru. Sorry Canadian buddies who we were hoping to see soon.
Going to watch the England match now in Ye Olde English Pub. They also have Starbucks, Burger King, KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, huge department stores and supermarkets, lots of cinemas with all the latest releases in English. It's not like Peru here. It's constantly grey like the UK but it's warm, and it's the height of winter here.
Pictures of the last few weeks to come soon,
lots and lots of love,
Pedro
