Global Adventure '06
Hi guys,
well this is the first entry from New South Wales, we left Queensland behind yesterday. Our final stop was Brisbane, which sadly didn't hold much interest for us. We both decided after 2 hours of being there we'd prefer to stay a few more days in Byron Bay instead. Brisbane seemed a little lacking, it probably does have lots of cool stuff to do, but it just didn't do it for us, so we hopped on the first Greyhound out of there the next morning. The scenery was pretty spectacular on the way down, very much like the Lake District but with more exotic plants and animals. It's early in the mroning here at the mo 7.45am and I've been up since 6.25am watching the sunrise over Byron Bay, lots of photos to come very soon, discovered this morning that my halfdry board shorts were nicked from outside the room last night, out of all the washing that is left outside, they had to pick mine. Well all I can hope is that they're too big for whoever nicked 'em and they fall down in public place causing much humiliation to the criminal in question. At least I wasn't wearing them at the time.
Gladly there are a lot of shops selling board shorts.
Instead of feeding pigeons and seagulls here you feed the ibis birds, at least that's what someone told me they were called.
We've bumped into some friends here in Byron Bay, they are also travelling down the east coast, and I'm off today with one of them to arrange a surf lesson for tomorrow morning, guaranteed to stand in 4 hours argghhh. There may be some pics to come out of that!
Speak some more later, once I've sorted out the photos.
Take care you lot, all the best Pete xx
