Hey everyone! I arrived in Rio this morning, got to share a taxi with a guy from my flight, who looked after me a bit in the airport and was showing me some of the sights. The flight was very long as it was actually quite difficult to sleep on the plane, which I didn`t think would be a problem as normally I can sleep anywhere.

It`s a little bit lonely atm, even in the hostel, but I know where the nearest cash point is and where to get a bottle of water from, so it isn`t too bad atm, but could be a little better. I think I will just end up having an early night tonight as I`ve been told it isn`t the safest of places to be on your own at night time.

I`m thinking I`m going to go to the beach for a little bit this afternoon, as at the moment it is about 25 degrees or hotter, at least that will keep me occupied for a bit.
