Raining in Nablus and Awerta. It has been pouring today. A day of contrasts. Firoza, Adam, Iona and I made our way through the King Hussein Checkpoint as usual. Firoza and I were spot lighted by the border guards and we had to explain about our Trek on Abraham's Path. Of course it took a lot of patience and time. The story of Ibrahim/Abraham from the Samaritans is that mount Moriah was not climbed in a day. He had been preparing for 50 years on the hills and slopes of his life for his learning of patience and trust in God.
And so we waited patiently and then were rewarded with a reluctant release from the checkpoint and to be greeted by the a very warm group of people we are due to spend the next two weeks with and a very wet and windy Nablus.
Yunus, Firoza, Adam, Iona, Jayme and Claudia are travelling Ibrahim/Abraham's Path from Nablus to Hebron. Today is the first day of the walk. They have two local guides, Habib and Nedal.
