20th = Arrived in New Zealand where i met Dan a mate from back home. We stayed in Auckland for 3 days.
The first thing i noticed was how similar it is to Sydney i.e. it had a sky tower and bridge.
Whilst in Auckand we went up the sky tower for views of the city. Went to the harbour and got a boat across to Waikiki island.
23rd = We started the Kiwi experiance. The bus took us to Mount Edan on the outskirts of the city which is a volcanoe. Amazing views of the city.
We the stopped of at Cathederal Cove, a very pictureque place to relax on the beach.
From here we headed to mercury bay which is a 1 street town, not allot happened.
24th = Today we went to Roatarua, the bus stopped at Karangahake national park where we took a walk across rope bridges and through tunnels.
After this we went to Matamanta which is famous for being the film location of Hobiton in Lord of the rings having never seen the film the highlight of the town for me was MaDonalds.
Rotorua itself is known as Sulphur city, steam comes rising from the drains (due to geothermal activity) and god it really smells of rotten eggs.
Its also famous for luging. luging is where u pretty much go cart down a mountain get to the bottom if u survived and get a chair lift back to the top and do it again if ur brave enought. We did it 5 times.
In the evening we went to the maori village to learn about there culture and history etc.
25th = We headed to Waitomo population 53 persons. From here we wnt caving we had to absail 60 Meters into the cave then take a zip line to the bottom. From here we walked through the water and looked at the glow worms and got very cold.
26th - 27th = We went to Taupo famous for lake Taupo which is the largest lake in Australasia and big enough to fit Singapore into.
Here i did a 15,000ft sky dive......
28th - 1st = taupo to River Valley. River Valley is a really isolated place, one building amongst towering cliffs. the rangitikei river runs past. here i just relaxed and went for a walk..
2nd - 3rd = River Vallry - wellington. Wellington is on a major earthquake line and has the largest earthquake ever recorded, 8 on the richer scale, had a look around the harbour and relaxed.
3rd - 4th = wellington - Picton - Nelson. Today we headed of the north island onto tje south island. We departed from Picton across through the Cook Straights. On the south island we headed down the marlborough valley.
5th - 6th = nelson to westport = We stopped at lake rotoiti which is surronded by mountains and forests and some say onr of the most pictureque places in the world. Departing from the lake we drove down the Bulter Gorge which is one of the most scenice drives in the south island. On arriving in Wesport we went on NX most powerful jet boat (2 x V8 engines_ where we did 360 degree turns and got very close to the cliff edge.
6th - 7th = Westport - lake mahinapua = We stopped to view NX largest seal colonie at Tauranga bay we also stopped at Punakaiki to check out the blow holes. we then had our poo party, theme pimps, hos and bad tatse one of the guys went as Madeline Mckanne. This bar has NZ oldest landlord Les aged 84.
7th - 9th = lake Mahinapua - Franz Joseph = Franx Joseph is where the rain forest meets the Glacier, one of only 2 places in the world. I did the 8 hour climb up the Glacier.
9th - 10th = Franz Joseph - Wanaka = We stopped at Lake matheson to get picture of mirror image of Mount Cook.
10th - 13th = Wanaka - Queenstoen = Fisrt stop puzzle world where there was a 3D maze, illusion room and just generally good fun. In Qyeesntown i got the gondala to the top of the mountain for pictureque views, participated in the mad dog river boarding which are greade 3 rapids and you only on a body board, someone died drom this last year. I also took a day trip to milford Sounds.
13th - 14th Queenstown - Christchurch. this was just a stop over not much to see here at all.
14th - 15th Christchuch - kaikorou = Arrived in the afternoon and i went Whale watching and saw 7 sperm whales. in the morning i swan with around 300 dolphins which was incredible.
15 - 17th Back in Taupo to relax17 - 18th = started the East As part of my trip. We went from Taupo to Gisborne where we fed 200KG sting Rays.
Gisborne - Tatapouri - Rangitukia = Where we were the first people in the world to see the sun rise, and visited Whangara where the film Wale rider was filmed.
19 th - 20th = We went to Rangituka where there was an amazing hot tub on the beach.
20-21st = 1 night stop over in Rotarua.
21 - 22nd = Charlie and i met up and had a one night stop over in Auckland.
22nd - 26th = Headed to Pahia where we relaxed. We then did the day trip to Cape reinga to see where the pacific sea meets the tazmanian sea. We also drove along 90 mile beach.
The next day we went on a boat trip where we saw dolphins relaxed on the islands and had a BBQ.
On our final day we went to russel to visit the oldest pub and church in New Zealand we also found long beach which was amazing.
27th In Auckland waiting to fly out to America
