hi peeps, jus a quick one to let you know we are near to the end of our time in oz. With 2000k's left on our greyhound pass and a few days to kill before the arrival of joey and sal in perth, we decided to do some of the west coast and headed up to a place called monkey mia. It was a fantastic place with nothing around you for miles and miles. The main reason however that people go there is because every morning just after sunrise wild dolphins come right up to the beach to feed. It is there choice to do it they are completely wild and have been coming to the same beach for years, no one knows why except they just come to feed. The bay has a programme in place to stop people feeding them crap at free will, so each morning they feed the dolphins about 2kgs of fish, this is not enough for the dolphins to rely on as they need about 12kgs but it is enough so that people can take photos of them and if lucky enough like me and hayley get a chance to feed them. It is strange because they feed the same 4 dolphins every day however even tho others dont get fed they still come with their young to show off and play around in the shallow waters. It was definatly worth getting up early to see, hear and watch these beautiful creatures playing and teaching their young to hunt and socialise.
Its now back to perth on a 13 hour bus journey to meet up with joey and his family in perth.
