Hey guys,
seen as though jonno has updated you on the current situation, i think its time to take the oppotunity to explain whats goin on! He was a bit vague with the explanation but i asked him to because i did not want to alarm anyone, cos really its not that bad. Last couple of weeks really struggled with a chest pain thats been a bit scary really but had it all checked out and been tested by like a million doctors and they all agree that there is nothing seriuosly wrong. However when we got to Laos i got alot worse and seeing as though its not exacly the best place to be when your ill, Jonno and i decided it would be best for me to go back to the doctor in Thailand. They believe it is muscular damage from god knows what and have been suprised i lasted so long without a proper diagnosis considering the pain i must have been feeling ( At this point i turned to the pretty female Thai nurse one eyebrow raised and my best 007 voice "Well i am rather tough my dear"..... she didnt speak English story of my life) and gave me some muscular relaxation pills and really really i cant feel let alone think these probably arnt legal in the UK pain killers.
However he said to rest for the next week but said going to Vietnam Cambodia or back to Laos was completely out of the question especially if i was going treking or into the jungle.... which is basically what me and Jonno were hoping to do.... great. So its not looking good because i dont want to be sta on my arse in bangkok any longer than i have to be, not that i dont like it here but just done it all reckon i now know it better than Leeds!!
Still we compromised and he said i could go down to Malaysia if i gave the pills a few days to kick in and see how i was. Really really pissed off with the situation but i know ( and im sure Jonno will vouch) been in a really bad way and know i have to just get fit again..... John.
Still not wasted last couple of days went round Bangkok on the river (see picture) which me and Jonno never got around to doing and it was great. People actually have houses there and come out on boats to buy and sell things with you and each other. Only thing was my long boat driver (again see picture) was drinking his way through alot of beers and was not steering all that straight.... still got back i one piece and with some excellent photos.
Also decided to go to china town and walked and walked till i got completely lost and then found the best resturant in the world!!
So to wrap up this is my current situation but my spirits are still high and hopefully will be heading to Kula Lumpa sooner rather than later.
All the beat guys
