We've been in litchfield for three nights staying at Florence falls camp area. They have odd camp areas here with everything bollarded so the site are either really big or really small. We managed to find one that was ok tho.
Yesterday, our first day here we went to wangi falls (couldn't swim cause of turbulent water and croc risk). Was amazing and an amazing amount of water falling! We also went to tolmer falls and in the afternoon (post the sleep time drive into batchelor) we went swimming at bluey waterholes - one of my favorite places on our trip so far!
Today we went to Florence falls for swim and lunch. Stu n I swam out to the rocks between the two falls. The amount of water coming down and the force behind it is an experience! Issy wasn't so keen on this swimming hole cause there was a fair few rocks and no flat shallow area to paddle in.
We also checked out the magnetic termite mounds.
This afternoon it was icecreams by the wangi falls then swim at bluey waterholes again.
Tomorrow is time to move on to darwin. But sad to leave here. If all the roads were open (4wd tracks are still closed) we could easily spend a few more days here.
