Have been in Singapore for a couple of days since arriving from Kuala Lumpar and leave here tomorrow to fly to Cairns. Kualar Lumpar was good, just as I'd imagined, massive buildings and towers everywhere. We went up the KL Tower which is the 4th tallest tower in the world - views over the city were quality. We didn't go up the Petronas Towers as you could only go half way up but it was a really amazing building. Singapore is similar to KL in that there are impressive buildings everywhere. There is plenty of wealth here and it's no suprise to see Ferrari's etc whistling up the streets. Beer is expensive here, about 10$ or 4 quid for a bottle. Needless to say the alcohol consumption has dropped a level! Have done a fair bit of shopping here and replaced a fair bit of stuff I got pilfered in Thailand! The shopping complexes are v.impressive over here and put the one's at home to shame. Weather is very hot and humid and it'll be good to don the Speedo's again when we get to Oz! Roll on 22:00 hrs tomorrow...
