Day 6:
We woke up quite early in the morning. Had our usual breakfast and spent about one hour of informal time with Ps Henry, sharing about topics ranging from places to visit in Johannesburg to the contacts which they have in the church. Some of the contacts which they have are not easy people to handle; many with intricate relationship issues, such as living together before marriage and unwillingness to obey the full council of the Word of God concerning this aspect. It was, to me, very encouraging to see that Ps Henry and sister Lerato were so in touch with the people who, at one point, were with the church but dropped off due to personal struggles. But I believe that Ps Henry and sister Lerato had given their utmost to help the people and that was very inspiring.
Then, Francis drove Ps Henry to work and Emma and I followed. When we came back, we set off for our first home visitation. What was initially just a prayer for healing, turned out to be much more than that. At first, we prayed for the brother who was unwell. After the prayer, he was open and shared with us that his family was disturbed by the evil spirits in the house (literally). They would see "people" come to the house to cook in the kitchen. And also, a friend who had passed on coming back to "visit" them. So, we prayed and combined our faith to drive the evil spirits out of the house in the name of our mighty God. And we went around with Michael who anointed different parts of the house with oil.
Then, we went to the house of another family. It was very fruitful. The brother is someone who is singularly focused in ensuring that his 18 years roadmap (ie by 2029) to become the State President of South Africa will come to pass. As for his wife, we witnessed an incredible miracle that happened to her. What happened was initially, she had wanted us to pray for her business. When we had finished praying, by the prompting of the Holy Spirit, Michael asked her if there were any weaknesses in her physical condition. And it became more specific from the revelation of the Holy Spirit; first, it was a back problem and second, it resulted in her one leg being shorter than the other. We prayed and God did the work. One of the leg which was shorter was lengthened. Praise the Lord. It was my first time, witnessing a miracle of such a kind took place in front of my very eyes. Awesome. Not only that, we ministered to one of her friend who was with her in the house. She was going through divorce and from the revelation of the Holy Spirit, it was unforgiveness upon her own life; she had blamed herself for the predicament that she was in. So, we prayed and released the forgiveness of Jesus into her heart. It was so wonderful to operate in the spirit of unity, ministering to the lives of those whom He dearly loves.
We came back about 3pm. And I just whiled away the time, writing some cards and occasionally carrying Baby Chloe. Then, Francis, Michael, Emma and I drove out to buy dinner back for everyone. We drove to the nearby Nancho's and also at the same time (while waiting for the food) had a short session of debriefing with Michael.
After dinner, sister Lerato with the rest of the other sisters went to visit and minister to a sister. Michael and I stayed at home to be temporary babysitters. Quite an interesting experience and a feat for me definitely.
When the sisters came back, they told us fantastic stories of what the Lord had done in that sister's life. She was delivered from the evil influences and was liberated in the Name of Jesus. Praise the Lord for what He had done, as well as for our powerful and courageous sisters. Amen.
