Day 3:
We had early devotion in the morning at about 8am. It was a fruitful time of sharing about the evidence of signs and wonders and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the last days in even greater intensity as compared to the day of Pentecost as recorded in the Bible.
We then proceeded to Cosmo city for the seminar on Listening and communicating the voice of God. The appointed time to start was 9am. However, when it was about 1030am, there were still not many who turned up. As Ps Henry had brought the guitar for repair, I was then asked to attempt to lead the songs in a cappella fashion. Well, it was kinda of like introducing the songs to whoever that was there in the room. When I was done with introducing the songs, Mei Teng was then spontaneously asked to lead some icebreaker games. And she led two games which indeed helped the people to get to know one another or at least added some element of fun to the seminar.
Finally, we started about 11am plus. I led the praise and worship. It was quite an experience for me to lead in a foreign country with its foreign culture. But I was reminded that beyond the differences, we are a spiritual family, with Jesus being our common love and purpose for congregating.
Michael then shared the lesson on Listening to the voice of God. We took our lunch break for about one hour before Michael continued the second half of the lesson on communicating the voice of God. Overall, I really enjoyed the lesson for it reminded me of the importance of building the church by exercising spiritual gifts in order to strengthen the Body of Christ.
We broke into groups to share. And then we had a time of praying and ministering to one another. I was in the same group as Ps Henry and another brother by the name of Inocent. When we were praying, Ps Henry saw a vision for me. It went something like he saw a waterfall and there was vegetation around it. But, on the other hand, there was a part of the land that was unclaimed, that the waterfall didn't fall upon. I guess what stirred within my heart was that God wanted to stretch me and He wanted me to go beyond my current capacity so that He could strengthen me. It was very much in line with what the Lord had been speaking to me for this past few months.
The seminar ended around evening time. Then we went back to Ps Henry's place to drop some of the equipment before heading for a Chinese restaurant for dinner.
Some of us walked back home after dinner and fully exhausted from the full-day event, I hit the sack at about 930pm. By the way, I was impressed by Michael who continued to watch soccer, showed on television, with Ps Henry despite his long day as well. His intention was to have bonding time with him through watching soccer. Wow, what a sacrificial leader we have.
