Lucerne was pretty much chosen as a good central location for us to visit Interlaken, Bern and also it was well placed for us to get to Geneva for our flight home to the UK. It is a very nice place in its own right with pleasant walks available along the lakeside or through the old town area. Below are some photographs from our time in the city.

Arriving at London St Pancras we had an hour or so to kill before checking in for the 2001 Eurostar departure to Paris Gare du Nord. This is the second time in the last few weeks we have been on this train and not only did we have the same seats in the same coach but also exactly the same train itself (train number 4003).
