re: Happy 50th Birthday to Me!Paul Also, the art deco Midland Hotel is absolutely beautiful - and at the side you can see where the midland railway used to go down the pier to the quayside.
re: Morecambe BayPaul O’Bruen Sounds like you both have had a great start to your holiday. Have fun
re: A bit of wine tasting in Colchagua Valley, ChileJohnny Cole I did something similar in Uraguay visiting the’ Bodega Garçon’ just outside Punta del Este. Beautiful vineyards and a top restaurant all Eco friendly Have a safe trip. JC Kandy Sri Lanka
re: A bit of wine tasting in Colchagua Valley, Chilepetehaysom The Red Lion in Skegvegas is certainly best avoided [ Spoons]..The Disabled Toilets on our last two visits have been a disgrace..and Spoons Head Office did not seem interested..
re: Wainfleet, Boston and SkegnessAndy H I think the east coast resorts of Lincolnshire can be given a bit of a wide berth for a decade or two. Just 16 days until back in France . . . phew!
re: Wainfleet, Boston and SkegnessJulie Yep, that's Skeggy for you. I know the coffee shop in chip shop alley, went in there when visiting mum in hospital - now that was dire coffee! !! Perhaps next time take in Chapel St Leonard's you'll be in for a treat.
re: Wainfleet, Boston and SkegnessAndy Holt Glad you have enjoyed seeing Namibia as we travelled. It has been a great trip. UK here we come . . . . for a few weeks at least!
re: Windhoek - a small capital city!Andy Holt The remoteness and space has really been some of the best bits for me. Can't say I am looking forward to being back in the UK.
re: Stunning Sossusvlei and the Namib NaukluftJeff Platts Thanks for the blogs Andy - really interesting. Have a safe and punctual journey home.
re: Windhoek - a small capital city!Patricia Memetovic Hi Andy Looks absolutely fantastic. Maybe a bit too remote for me though, however with a bunch of people around maybe that would ruin the experience. Make the very most of everything, especially the weather as you maybe in for a shock on your return. Take care of yourselves and see you next week
re: Stunning Sossusvlei and the Namib NaukluftAndy Holt Yes it was a great trip a finishing off in Gdansk (part 2 of this blog/trip) was brilliant. My mum really enjoyed the trip.
re: Warsaw - Poland with Mum (Pt 1)Ellen What an adventure and wonderful story to read! Best wishes, Ellie.
