right now i am sitting in a internet cafe on phi phi island, taking a bit of time out of the sun as its so so hot here. from kuala lumpur we had to get a 13 hour night bus to hat yai in thailand, which was so long, but the buses were alright, bigger seats than the greyhound in aus so it wasnt too bad. wwe had to queue for ages at immigration out of malayisia but got through both alright. when we arrived in hat yai we had to wait a couple of hours before our bus to Krabi, 5 hours. at least, we thought it would be a bus. it turned our to be a mini bus with the crappest air con in the world and it was completely full. me and oli were on the back seat with two other guys, so we pretty much couldnt move. it was not fun. we were so tired after the night bus but it was impossible to sleep. so eventually we got to Krabi which is where you can get the ferry to phi phi. we just spent one night there and then go the morning ferry, which was also without air con or windows. arriving at phi phi at last, we had to find somewhere to stay. when you get off the ferry all these touts start offering you somewhere to stay, but it was pretty easy as they have pictures of all the places up with the prices. its more expensive here than other places in thailand but we got quite a good deal. its so nice here, the beaches are beautiful. the main town near where we are is pretty touristy, but its nice as there are lots of backpackers and there are no cars or anything here. you can also walk to less busy beaches so you can have a mix of both. at night on the main beach there are loads of bars which do entertainmnet like fire shows and offers on drinks. last night we got free buckets of alcohol and they had fire spinners which were so good. we are probably going to stay here for about 6 days, its like a proper holiday and we havent had beaches in a while. oLIS DOING A PADI diving course while we are here too, and we miht to a day trip to phi phi leh island where the film the beach was filmed. anyway i better go back to the beach. cabt believe we are in asia already and weve passed the half way point now. love to everyone xxx
