I am now in Japan! Having an awesome time! Today is actually Anna's birthday and we are going to Kyoto to have a look around.
So what have I been upto since I got here? Well Anna lives in Kobe so we spent the first day looking around the town centre in Kobe and went to the harbour for dinner and to see the night view which is meant to be one of the most beautiful in Japan! Oh and I forgot to mention we went to McDonalds!!
The next day we went to Osaka. We walked around the city and took some photos. And we went to a very high tech restaurant for dinner where they had electronic menus on each table and u ordered what you wanted from that! It was very complicated and when I went to the loo there were so many buttons and gadgets all labelled in Japanese so I couldn't even work out how to flush the toilet! Haha! When we got home we had a cup of tea as has become our tradition!
On Saturday there was a fireworks display. I put the pictures up on Facebook. The display lasted almost an hour! Crazy! And the finale was pretty amazing with HUGE fireworks! Apparently there were 10,000 fireworks set off in total! We had to get there pretty early to get a space. As we sat in the harbour waiting for the fireworks to start a big boat came in with hula dancers on in and they did a few dances for us before setting off again so that was pretty cool! That night we went to a noodle bar for dinner and I actually used chopsticks! Took me a long time though and Anna laughed at me quite a lot!
Yesterday Anna was sending off some job applications so her dad and brother took me for a walk up a mountain near their house. The views from the top were really amazing! But I found it quite difficult because Anna's dad doesn't speak any English and her brother seems a bit shy to speak English. But at the top was a little cafe and I had the thickest slice of toast you have ever seen!! Then last night we went for dinner up Mount Rocco. It was a very nice restaurant where there was a hot stone in the middle of the table and you had to cook all your food yourself! Was very tasty though and the view over Kobe and Osaka was amazing!
So yeah you could say I'm having a good time! Is really nice to be looked after for a bit too and Anna's parents are doing a really good job of that!
Anyway, as I said we're on the way to Kyoto now so should be good fun.
