So, if you haven't heard from us recently, you may have thought we have died. Theres not been much activity on our blog, (not much is a bit of an under-statement, there has been no activity on this blog for a while!).
We've managed to both get jobs in Sydney, which take up most of our time, so we haven't had much time to see new things, or pop to different places, not that there is much more to see in Sydney anyway! The jobs have been pretty cool, Holly's been lucky enough to get to go on two road trips while she worked in her part of the company, once to Bathurst and the other to Port Macquarie, which is as you can guess, pretty neat.
The other cool thing about work is that both me and Holly got invited to an 'exclusive' cruise on the Harbour in a glass boat, with free alcohol and free food, which made for an amazing day. Pretty glad we got to go on it, we had some major fun. And I got lost several times...
We even had a christmas party, at a pub, with a $4000 bar tab. Which, inevitably will run out if people (Me) decide to get 4 drinks each time they go to the bar (quite frequently), so that was a pretty good night. Ended up at 'the cross' partying, and buying a pretty costly hotdog (I didn't realize that the prices had been raised!). Holly ended up bringing a girl back to our apartment...
Not in that way. She didn't want her to get lost/killed on the way home.
Cheers for all the Christmas cards we got! And general Christmas cheer. It was a bit weird being away from home, in the sun. But unusual as it was, it was pretty cool. Swimming in the sea, relaxing at the beach, drinking vodka and eating chicken, weird way to celebrate Christmas but it was a good way as well. The beaches were supposed to be 'alcohol-free' but seriously, I don't think I saw any alcohol being confiscated from anyone, at all. There was a pretty scary moment when someone fell off a 4th floor balcony, luckily, he landed on the balcony below, if that not he'd be screwed.
Its not very christmassy here, as soon as it hit boxing day, it was "WHOA! Its almost New Years Eve, lets stop celebrating Christmas and get ready for the awesome time at New Years Eve!". Oh! And even the coke advert isn't chrismassy, its got people on the beach, sharing coke, and running around in bubbles. I mean, what the hell. Cool music though.
But yeah, thats our big plans, New Years Eve, hopefully, we'll be getting a decent spot with a view of the fireworks, and our alcohol won't get confiscated, (clubs with views charge ridiculous amounts for entry). And there'll be lots and lots of pictures!
So there's something for you guys to look forward to!
