friday 26th september - day 36 - hongkong
We head, via the metro, to sai kung port with joe to catch a boat over to one of the many beaches on the peninsula. The town is full of restaurants and fishermen setting off or selling catch. We haggle a boat to 43 each return over to hap mun bay beach. The boat ride over takes 20 mins and we stop at sharp island first before our stop. We arrive at hap mun beach afternoon and spend the day there. Its absolutely gorgeous, white sand beach and clear emerald waters. It makes a change to be back on a beach especially in the city. Theres hardly anyone there, only handful so its nice and quiet. We spend the afternoon swimming to the pontoon, collecting shells and sunbathing. At 5 the boat collects us right on time and we take the same route home. We buy some tea from the supermarket and bottle of vodka and make our way out with joe and about 5 other people we recruited in the hostel common area. We take taxis to wan chai and manage to find a bar doing $15 coronas so we order a load. The night gets abit messy and alls I can remember is joe rolling around the floor whilst we all dance in the street outside a different bar. Night ends typically with a trip to mcdonals and us rolling into bed, claudia in toe.
