Took a day trip down to Agra and the Tarj Mahal.
Was amazing, thought I'de seen it before, just by all the pictures and everything but its something else to be see it yourself. Was just plain beautiful! Made me just stop and look for a good 5 minutes. While taking pictures I found myself pretty much bombarded by Indians all wanting pictures with a white person, it was quite bizar! At one point a family tried to make a small kid stand with me infront of the Tarj and the kid started crying so they just picked her up and pretty much chucked her at me, i was like, what the hell!..cute kid tho lol. Once inside the Tarj wasnt as great as the outside but was still pretty. I then had a little look around Agra the nearby town, and got riped off off a couple of things, got a little anoyed with this later, but i then thought how relatively little money it was and how much more they needed it so didnt mind so much.
The roads in India are rediculous, theres ox-carts, horse drawn carrages, cyclests with rediculous loads, as well as motorbikes with 5+ people on, small carts cramed with people next to nice shiny brand new cars, all sqeezing past each other ignoring all road lines for lanes and even sides of the road, just shooting along on the right hand side! My driver was lovely tho and kept me in one piece, we had some quite random convos but he helped sorted out my next train jouney. Although he did drop me outside the train station with the promise of a food hall inside.
Got inside, with my mahugggsive bag to find no food court and when looking for a bathroom managed to trape around most the station, including some corners which were apsolutly discusting, just reaking of piss and homeless people lingering on the stairs which were more than a little creepy! Once i got myself sorted i looked for some food, all I could find was a shaby looking indian place, which i somehow didnt trust, especially not wanted to be ill on the train, and a Macy Ds, feeling like a total trator eating at Mac Donalds in India I had a chicken burger, thinking itll be the last piece of meat for a while. It was DISCUSTING! Worst thing ive eaten so far, i though all Mac Donalds was pretty much the same but this was crunch, yep crunchy chicken with what i hoped was cartalage but god knows what else, i tried to eat though it knowing i wouldnt have any more food for quite a while but ended up giving up!
Waited for the train with a lovely Israily women, and helping each other out with where to go and with our luggage finally got on what was thankfully the right train.
