Another hot start to the day this morning... We had a beautiful continental breakfast delivered to our room this morning at 8 am, crossaints , jams, bread rolls, hot chocolate tea & coffee.. Yummo...!After packing we tag our luggage ready to go on the Royal Carribean " Granduer of the seas"we are so excited....we have a little bit of time before we need to head to a water taxi to get us to the docks so we decide to do a little last minute shopping, it's so HOT, it must be 35 degrees by 11am. The humidity is dreadful here, even the locals are saying how unusual this weather is for this time of the year....we get in the taxi with all of our bags , it's so funny you just have to laugh seriously we all have so much luggage & our shoulders are feeling it....
We finally see the ship it's HUGE, now we are all excited.... We get straight if the taxi leave our luggage on the wharf as the luggage man soon takes them away, then walk to the
Ship, again the heat is unbearable( we have been to Bali & Thailand even Townsville ) but this heat & humidity is indescribable ,, it's burning hot...... As we already tagged our luggage at the hotel we don't have to queue up.... Bonus so we walk straight in . The only drama we had was that all the computers went off line as we were checking in so we had to wait another 15 minutes to restart everything again..... We then proceed through the airport scanner machines , get our photos taken then step on board,,,,, OMG WHAT A SITE it's like a huge city inside , it's a massive centrism with elevators going up & down beautiful green ' violet lights with stunning brand new furniture ( the ship only had a complete makeover in may this year) so everything is new.... We all get drinks Jeni & I have margaritas they are nice... We still don't want to go to our Romans as we are a bit scared of the room size so we all decide to go up to windjammers restaurant for buffet lunch & it doesn't disappoint .after a massive feed we all decide to go to deck 3 where our rooms are. We open the door & are totally amazed it's beautiful ' spacious for a ship, even with a large queen or king size bed, it has a 2 sweater lounge desk with shelving & the bathroom is brand new done out in the same colours as the bedrooms in whites & greens. We are excited.!!! Where are the single beds for the boys???? They fold up into the room in the days to five us more room, what a great concept.. We then decide to go walking so we head off to try & familiarise ourselves with the ship, it's so big, we then make our way back to get ready for dinner, we elected the 6 pm sitting . We have a beautiful oval dining table for the 8 if us all done out with beautiful wine glasses & china, we are amazed, the food is delicious the staff so friendly.....the big boys go to the teenage club at. 8 pm , they still are not back & it's 11.50 pm , poor Elye can't go with them which is a shame so he has to tag along with us tonight as his kids club opens tomorrow...tomorrow we set sail for Croatia - Dubrovnick, at 12.15 pm, so excited, good night all ...!!!
