I awake at 8.30 am this morning as we went to bed late as we were watching the soccer Euro cup in German( crackup) was an exciting game though. Mark he goes walkabout all the time , I'm sure he's gone to the bakery to get a cappuccino & some pastries for morning tea. The boys are still asleep , the days are flat strap on holidays we walk & walk & walk, it does get tiring especially as here in hopfgarten we are higher up with the altitude so the air is definitely thinner .. Mark returns with fresh fruit & pastries so i make my cuppa & toast & we head out on the balcony, it's going to be another hot day 32 degrees roughly today, it's a different heat here it's so pleasant , they don't have the humidity that we do at home. If you get into the shade it's cool straight away. Trish is only working half a day today so we are all going up on the ski chair lift up the mountain behind us to a restaurant for lunch . We all are very excited, but the boys have to do some homework, they are all slackening off... Lol.. We then went on the ski chair lift to a restaurant half way up the summit ( 1 km to be exact) oh my god the views were amazing I will post some photos..... Our lunch was magnificent & also the 1/2 litre of beer was totally fabulous also( remember j dont drink beer). Is really hot here in hopfgarten we are all a bit sunburnt actually , then after lunch we went to the top of the summit another km straight up it was a bit hairy actually as it stopped going up...we keep saying how amazing the views are but omg I wish everyone could be here with us & see what we have seen today. We were 2 Kms above sea level today it was so high,,, I couldn't believe it.... The view......... We then make our way back down to where we had lunch & we have dessert , once again amazing , I don't even eat Ice cream & I order home made vanilla bean ice cream with raspberries & coulis & whipped cream OMG........we have to leave the restaurant because the ski lift closes at 5 pm , the ride down is so steep I feel as if I have vertigo ......,we make it down & I have to hang out the washing.... However the washing angel has hung it out( trisha of course)(You all know that I love to wash)when we arrive back to Trishas place she has hung the washing out ( god love her) it's still hot , our Elye is sunburnt & all the boys decide to get in their their boardies go on the slip n slide.....The girls have a few glasses of bubbles( i love bubbles) the boys drink beer ( marks in heavenas he just bought a crate of large beer for 16 euros which is about $18...then we decide to go to a fabulous restaurant for dinner in hopfgarten , its just down the road son we walk , we all order & it's the semi final for the soccer world cup Italy & Germany , we can see it on the side wall of a building where one of the locals has a projecter of the soccer .. Lol the kids have all their chairs on the road watching. Our meals are fantastic trisha picked the restaurant she speaks in German to order all of our dinners the boys ate fabulous. Trish orders wine for us girls , it's beautiful ..... The boys have beers, our meals are amazing , the kids decide to walk back to Nic,s house it's 9.30 pm . Remember it's a community here so everyone knows each other...so they are extremely safe . The adults stay on but Niks dad is at home as it his 50 th birthday tomorrow & he is hiking at 7 am in the morning so he can't drink ..... We drink wine , Irish whiskey & snaps, now remember I don't drink so I feel a bit merry at the moment... Lol.... Now it's raining it just adds to the ambiance .. It's beautiful .... We finish our snaps pay our bill & run/walk home we are all laughing & huffing & puffing up the hills. Picture it ... Totally hilarious indeed.....As we get to Charlie & Trishas we are puffing , the kids answer the door they are laughing as we are wet from the rain.... A fabulous day & night in Hopfgarten . It feels as if we have known Trish & Charlie for ever. They have made us feel so welcome , tomorrow is a huge day again , catching at train to Innsbruck for the day ' Charlie's 50 th birthday party tomorrow night ... Can't wait... Good night Hopfgarten..!!!!!!
