We decided to head to the beach today as it was one of the touristy activities we'd planned to do in our time in Melbourne. Hopped on a train to Flinders street then walked up to jump on a tram. 15 minutes later we arrived at St Kilda. Today i was feeling good enough to get out the house and into the sunshine. Had a relaxing morning at the house then headed off to my favourite bagel place on Degraves street. After a great bagel and a coffee we found our way across the river to the Eureka tower where we bought a pass for the sky deck on the 88th floor for a daytime and night time entry. It's apparently the highest city tower in the Southern Hemisphere, it's a residential tower with the top level...

Not much to report on for the last couple of days as my tonsilitis returned with a vengeance. Really wasn't nice but good to have the support of the family from along way away :). Found myself a doctors surgery with the help of Steph and after a quick consultation got some stronger anti biotics which are helping a lot and feeling a lot better now thankfully, hopefully it stays away this time!

Today we just mooched around the city before meeting up with Steph after work and somehow... Not sure how... We ended up at the Lindt Chocolate Cafe. Ok we may have planned it. It was cheaper than we thought and very good! We had a sharing platter- each got a chocolate brownie, ice cream, 2 chocolates, a chocolate and salted caramel macaroon, strawberries, cream and a big jug of melted chocolate sauce!! The alarm was set and we were all up early ready to set off after a yummy egg breakfast Steph made. We drove for about an hour to Werribee gorge national park with our backpacks ready for a bush hike. It was a 10k hike off the beaten track, up hills, clambering over rocks and finding brilliant views over the gorge.
