G'day Mates!

We arrived in Sydney yesterday (Thursday 6/17/2010). The flight was great, the Flight Attendants on Air Pacific were so friendly and nice. We had great seats...Business Class! Mike and Sabrina sat next to each other and I was next to a miserable, grumpy man! I said Hello and introduced myself at the begining of the flight (after all, we were going to be next to each other for 10 hours!), I then told him I was traveling with my husband and daughter, and he just looked at me and said "I do not like children!" Thank goodness he fell asleep right away! It didn't matter because the flight was great. We landed in Fiji and had a couple of hours there (we really wanted to stay!) . We then left Fiji, and took off for a four hour flight to Sydney. (There are photos of the Fiji airport in photo album). We had great views of the city before landing, and took some photos of Sydney prior to landing.

We arrived and checked into our hotel. it was rainy but we didn't care, we still walked down to the area known as Circular Quay. We saw the Bridge and Opera House. As you can see in the first photos we were getting tired!

The Opera House is amazing! Photos do not do justice for such a spectaular sight! It is without a doubt a true architectual masterpiece! Words and photos do not begin to show what a beautiful sight this building is!

We went to sleep at 7:30 pm...we were so tired!

Today we walked back down to catch a ferry to the Torango Zoo. On the way, Mike taught me how to play chess on a giant chess set! (He let me win!) The zoo was great with amazing views of the city. One of the highlights was a baby elephant. There were two baby elephants, the one in photos is only 3 months old! We then went to the "Rocks" area and had a nice dinner at a Pizza resturant. We were so hungry and tired!!! We walked all day from 8:00am to 7:00pm! Poor Sabrina was so tired, she was asleep by 8:00pm!

The weather is perfect, sunny and just a little cool. Ahhhh....

I am tired too! Goodnight!
