Hey Everyone, have been really busy the last week. left Albany on Wednesday after a heavy night out. Was really random as we were only going to go out and use our beer tokens that we got from our hostel and then as we were walking past one of the few pubs Dan, the NZ guy we shared our dorm and got free goon juice from on the first night, was in there and came running out and called us back for a drink. So we had a drink with him and his mate Gareth (from Albany) and then went to another pub and got rather drunk. Left at 9 the next morning for Perth and stayed there one night before going on our Monkey Mia tour up the west coast. We had so much fun. Met a girl called Marie from essex and a girl called Kim who was from essex but has lived in Oz for 3 years. Our tour guide, Glen, was an absolute nut case from the start, and it was pretty much a 4 day long booze tour stopping at some very nice places.
I currently have a bad finger, so it's a bit tricky for me to write very much. So instead of typing the itinery here is the website:http://www.planettours.com.au/tour_monkey_mia.htm.
It was certainly one of the best tours I have ever been on. Everyone was up for a laugh and even Glen stayed up drinking with us at night. We played spoons with everyone (4 japenese girls, family of 3 from essex, the 2 girls mentioned above and Dino, who is Glens friend who was hitching a ride with us), and me, Sez, Kim and Marie named ourselves Team Goon!!!!! Liking the Team names, brings people together. We got to stay on a horse ranch on the first night and sit around a camp fire, second night was in Monkey Mia resort and third was on a farm in the middle of no where. Farm was cool though cos they had an orphaned baby kangaroo that we could have a hug with, she was so cute!!!
The scenery was stunning the whole way up the coast and we got some amazing photo's (ween u will love the sunrise shot), went on a bush walk to the bottom of "Z Bend" Gorge and got really close to the wild dolphins at monkey mia. Unfirtunately didn't get to go sandboarding as it was raining on the last day, so a bit gutted about that, but Glen made up for it by coming out in Perth with us when we got back from the tour and buying us lots of drinks!!!!
