I really cannot say it enough. I love my job. Today was probably the most stressful day I've had so far. I felt like I was messing up everything. But as per usual things got 50 times better as the day went on. It's weird, when things go wrong I usually get homesick but for some reason here, I just want to work harder. I've never felt like this before. I'm just so comfortable with where I am all the time. I comfortable with being the only American and also the youngest.; and most of all, I don't feel horrible for making mistakes. Everyone is always willing to help me if I need it. Usually I'm really shy but for some reason I ask questions, socialize and am just more outgoing then I usually am. It's so weird! It's like I'm a completely different person.
Anyways! Tomorrow Roelof and I are going on a tour in Alghero, Italy! I'm super excited because this time I am shooting everything. Which probably means less pictures but I can always pull screen caps from the footage.Tonight we had an Indian party which I not only had a great time at but I was entranced by it. I love learning about other cultures and further more being enriched by it by being with the people of that culture. We have a lot of people from India on the boat, one of which is one of the photographers. They played a lot of India Techno music and I was so focused in on their dancing. I don't know why it captivates me so much but I just love seeing the diversity of our crew. I continues then to look around the room and I noticed how diverse we all really were. Every person had their own kind of style because they were all from a different place! The group I was with alone was a mix of England, South Africa, Canada, Poland, India and Australia. We only had 2 from South Africa and then everyone else was from different places. It's just so interesting to see other cultures mixed into one place. So again, I can't say it enough, I love my job. I feel so blessed to be on this ship with this amazing crew for this unbelievable opportunity. I can tell, this is going to be a long term relationship with Princess.J

Wow, wOw and WOW! These past few days have been crazy busy! Like wake up early, work literally all day and go to bed late. I'm starting to get tired! But we have sea days coming up so I'll be able to rest! Today I went to Rome. Rome is my new favorite place. I am in LOVE with the coliseum. It was breath-taking! We also went to St. Peter's Cathedral, the vadacent museum, and the Sistine chapel! Everythin was just so amazing. Yesterday we went to Alghero and Balsa. It was a nice afternoon. The place we went was a little itialian town but Roelof and I had time after the tour to get gelato! I got natella gelata J. Also last night, we had a going away party for Lara. Lara was the head of my department. The team does this thing where they make a picture book for whoever is leaving. The book has one page for each member of the team. On my page I wrote "hopefully we'll work together again soon, and hopefully for more than a week!" And when I gave it to Taj he said 'I forgot you've only been here for a week.' That's good right? Haha. I take it as a good note. I already feel like part of the team. Last night I was editing when the party began and 3 people called me within at most5 minutes wondering where I was. It's so nice to just come into this whole job/experience scared out of my mind and then fit in right away. It feels like I've been here much longer than a week. I don't even notice when the boat is moving anymore! Hopefully it stays that way. When we pass through the straight of Gibraltar again I might have some problems. But for now, all is going great! Even though I'm tired I'm still having a ton of fun! And it's really just all surreal to me still. Like within the last week, my first week, I've made 7 different shorts for Reflections (the souvenir dvd), I've learned the warning noises on the ship, gotten lost and found my way in a HUGE ship, traded my money for pounds then traded the pounds for euros, been to England, Spain and Italy, met people from all over the world and smiled more than I have in years! I can't wait for all the other adventures that are coming my way! Learning Tower of Pisa, Livorno, Cannes, Barcelona, Gibraltar, Zeebrugge, Le Havre, Vigo, Lisbon, Ponta Delgada, West End, Fort Lauderdale, San Juan, St Maarten, St Thomas, Princess Cays, Curacao and Aruba! And I don't even have an itinerary for after Christmas yet! Love it!

Today was a very long day. We had drills this morning which was painful. I was really tired so when we were just waiting for the signal to move to our next muster location I was fighting to keep my eyes open. The drill took about and hour and 15 minutes. Then immediately after that I went up to the lab to a note from Roeful that I may not be able to go on my tour to the leaning tower of pisa because they gave me the morning ticket instead of the afternoon one. So then I went on a mission to find out if my ticket could get changed…thank goodness I was able to. So then I went to the leaning tower of pisa but I wasn't there for that long. It was a really rushed tour. I was able to get my cousin Sean his souvenir though! Sean, if you read this, you're going to love it! It's soccer related J. Oh and thank goodness there was a money exchange place in the plaza because the exchange office on the boat was closed by the time the drills were over. Then I came back and edited, worked the gallery (which I LOVE doing-retail+hanging out with friends=love!) and then edited more. I'm trying to learn how to edit faster because these late nights are starting to get to me. Tomorrow we are porting in Cannes. I again, have no idea what tour I'm doing but it should be fun! It's only a half day tour. Half day or full though, I need my sleep! Gnight!

First night where I didn't have to edit after my gallery hours! Yah! Tomorrow is Halloween and the entire team is dressing up J. I have a few things to film in the morning before I can dress up but I'm excited! Larrie showed me a costume in the photog closet that I think I'm going to wear. It's a elf/greek godess costume. Today I went to Barcelona! I went to la familia sagrada. Both Roelof and Tomasz said that I would like it more than I liked the colosseum. False. It was still very pretty and interesting but I still LOVE the colosseum! Tomorrow is going to be an extremely busy day. At 10 am I have the walk for the cure that I have to film which is followed by the presentation of the wedding video at 11. Then I have to edit the walk footage and be in the gallery from 3-5 and again 5/6-9:30. Then at 10 we have the Halloween ball which will probably go until midnight. So I'm going to bed now! Gnight!
