Mum and I took ourselves off the The Vaudeville Theatre in London to see the new production of Hobson's Choice. This was a fantastic staging with a brilliant cast headed by the superb Martin Shaw as Hobson. They thoroughly deserved the standing ovation the end. Highly recommended.

Tonight a couple of us made our way to Birmingham to watch Adam Ant at The Symphony Hall. Naturally, not being one to disregard tradition, we started off with a lovely meal at The Handmade Burger Company. Adam's support were UK Feds, a Brummie 4-piece rock band with attitude. Barely having had time to recover from the Northumberland trip, I headed over to Tewkesbury to enjoy a wonderfully funny evening being entertained by Ron Beckett. If you don't know who he is, Rob is the toothy Londoner regular on Mock The Week. The show lasted about 2 hours. Today we bade farewell to Northumberland - after treating the car to a wash as it had spent the week sleeping under a bird toilet! 30 mins into our journey we stopped off at a Little Chef for breakfast.
