Another sunny day in Glorious Guernsey saw us explore the capital city of St Peter Port.
Our first stop was the St John Health Care shop to pick up a wheelchair for Mum. Then we managed to find parking in the harbour....well, not actually in the harbour, after all BB isn't a boat, but around the harbour.
We meandered along the quaint shopping area centered along the high street, stocking up on souvenirs and gifts when we found ourselves outside The Guernsey Tapestry. This is a collection of 10 tapestries conceived as a celebration of the millennium. Each tapestry depicts one of the centuries starting from 1000AD and was created by one of the Guernsey parishes. They make up an interesting picture of the Bailiwick's history.
St Peter Port rises steeply from the coast, so having had enough of pushing the wheelchair up the hill, we headed back for the seafront and stumbled upon the tourist information office before wandering along the front and pier towards Castle Cornet. We knew we were too late to explore the castle but enjoyed the lovely view looking back inland.
Then we decided it was time to head back to base.
