Our second last day of the trip, and our last day of countryside was amazing! We lucked onto some of the most amazing scenery and roads and had another relaxed yet mile-filled day (we did 171 miles today, and it somehow took most of the day).
We set off from Deposit (without any hassle from the cops :)) and followed the Delaware River south through the Catskill 'Mountains' (in quotes because they can't possibly be mountains, they just aren't big enough! :)) for probably 80 miles of some of the most amazing scenery. As we set off today the fog was still hanging around the lakes and rivers and gave it a very 'mountain' feel. The trees around here are mostly deciduous, and are just starting to change colour.I've put some video up so you can see what it was like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_aQrpSq0Wk
One memorable moment of today (and there are many) was joining onto the back of a group of about 20 Harleys as we joined a main road from a side-road.We were on the back of the group for about 30 miles and felt like part of the gang.We obviously weren't riding tricked up low-riders or anything, but the gear on our bikes said very clearly that were tourers not day-trippers, which gets respect. ( I can't put the video of us at the back of ther gang up yet as its 16 minutes and I need to trim it to 10 for YouTube when I get back to the UK)
Another memorable moment was clocking over 4,000 miles today! All in 18 and a bit days! And the great thing it just doesn't feel like it!We still feel pretty good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8T5EJlRVqhI
Today we also chanced upon an unbelievable stretch of road that you normally only see in advertising shots, which we learnt was called the Eagles Nest.Have a look at the photos and the video to see just how amazing it was. :)|It was a road that wound along the side of a mountain and above a river with gentle rapids, and was just like snowboarding or waterskiing…turn after turn after turn.We knew we were on a great road because today we passed probably 500 bikes, one of them a Jap bike.:)

We've decided to stay in pretty much the last part of countryside before we start to hit the more densely populated areas around New York, so we are currently 40 miles to the west of New York at a town called Mt Arlington.
Tonight: a celebration dinner! We're even going to get a taxi there so we can have a few beers!!It'll be our last dinner together for the trip.:(
Tomorrow: TIMES SQUARE!:)))))))))
