What a journey! Got a feeling I've got plently of them more to come. Rattled up the mountain to the hill station of Shimla. No snow...
Survived the ride without the releasing of any fluids (appart from sweat), then had a mini trek to a hotel that this tout was taking me to, which turned out to be nice and hospitable. Shattered from the journey I tucked into some lovely parantha's and watch transformers on the telly.
The nights are cold, even colder when you have marble flooring throughout, and having to get up halfway through your sleep to use the bathroom! (Didn't have much time to slip my feet to slip into my sandels...)
I thought it would be a good idea to give my stomach some western foods, so I tucked into a Dominos Pizza for lunch then a Subway for dinner. Obviously I had to choose the indian version! The Subway aloo patty was actually really nice. Had a laugh with the lads at subway, they were quite surprised with my situation. (They were students at the local college!)
Tourist people very helpful and friendly. No deluxe buses, so opted for the semi deluxe bus to Manali leaving in the evening. Crammed into an ordinary bus for 10 hours doesn't sound like fun, at least I'll get a few extra inches to my seat!
Had the whole day to chill out, so decided to have a lie in, checked out at noon, got some idli and dosa for brunch and prepared myself for the trek to Jakhu Temple. It was a half an hour trek up some serious gradients and when at the top you had to look out for the cheeky monkeys. Picture postcard stuff when you got to the top, I'll try and upload them soon...
Weather turned and rained a little, so decided to pop into an internet shop to update my blog. Looks good outside now and chair starting to get uncomfortable. Started reading The Game prob continue with that, then get food and go get my bus...
