Again very sorry it's been a long time since I've updated my blog... All you eager readers are wondering where I have been and what I've been upto!
I left you with the flight from Kathmandu to Bangkok... I was welcomed to Bangkok without three hundred pounds worth of travelers cheques having noticed my pack had been tampered with (but they didn't steal all of my TC...!?!) Spending an hour of my busy schedule of doing nothing waiting at the airport to solve an unsolvable problem (just wanting them to feel uncomfortable), I step out of the airport with a smile on my face ready to explore my new destination.
Heading straight for Khao San Road for the cheap accommodation, I experienced a heavy flashpacker populated area... I met a couple of like minded people but was ready to go visit a beach after my month of volunteering work. I split my time into two weeks of exploring the southern beaches of Thailand and two weeks up in the north.
In the south the beaches are beautiful! I'd arranged to party at the Black Moon on Koh Phagnan and continued onto the climbing paradise of Railey. With relaxing and partying playing a big part, the days flew by and before I knew it I was on a train heading up north.
The north doesn't have the extent of tourism that the beaches attract, but it does have its fair share of activities and scenery. I befriended a lot of people at this very friendly guesthouse in Chang Mai. I encountered an amazing lake day, an adrenaline rushed hike and bike, a relaxed massage course and a drunken evening at a local club!
Activities, scenery, fun and frolics were to continue through to my next destination...Laos!
