Tip No. 5 Test your bicycles breaks before you hire it...

After our 24 hour bus ride and getting over the hottest, sweatyest (is that a word) border in the world we have arrived in Laos :) we met some really nice people on the bus over and because Luang Prabang is so small we have seen them all the time. It's like we've lived here about 7 years...

Again we have found the best places to eat and drink in the town :) every night there is a night market on the Main Street where you can walk down, look at all the silver jewellery and pashminas...and then head to the food buffet street where you can have a plate for 10,000 kip (about 90p) and put as much on it as you can :) safe to say me and rach make the most of it...

The night life here has been great...amazingly the place to be after the bars close at 11pm is the local bowling alley :) rach is loving the Mai Thais and last night we went to a traditional Laos fashion show.

Tomorrow we head to vang vieng where we will float down the river in a tube :)
