actually spent 3 days in toronto, although i was mean't to go upto Montreal and then down through New England. I just found that i was moving too much and moving on too quickly. I've fouud that i'm really tired and actually quite unwell. i've never been this persistantly i'll. i arrive in the US with a cold and now i seem unable to eat or drink anything without serious stomach issues. it just won't go away and it's getting me down a little bit.
anyway the reason i'm saying this is to explain why i decided to stay in one place a little while. The rest has helped because less stress on having to plan and move all the time.
Toronto i really like. Its got a little bit of everything and isn't that busy you feel over run. it has a great china town and a place called kensington market which has just got an entire street devoted to vintage wear. really good stuff.
I've also room with this guy who showed me round for the three days i was in toronto and i met another british guy Edd who i really got on with. there the guys in the photo's. i also did not take many pictures of toronto - wasn't in the snap happy mood.
from toronto i started my epic journey to the west coast. got a bus ride to New york that took 12 hours but was reallu comfy as myself and another girl hogged the back 5 seats even though a full bus!
the US customs took two hours which was over the top and so annoying especially when my check took all of 1 minute!
from new york had to hang out till 4 pm which is easy to do in new york, hung out and read in central park before going to the airport via deathbus.
Flew from La Guardia new york to Milwalkie (with an hour delay) then on to San Fran but the time zone changed so really was up till 4 am.
I come to realise eveything in america is difficult, nothing is simple.
take for instants this flight, first was delayed for no apparent reason then i'm sure the cabin crew were a little simple.
a little ditty now:
When they came round with drinks i ask for tea which she gave me; then asked if i wanted anything with it - i answered( and i don't think it was a stretch) yes can i have milk.
"we don't have milk but we have cream, would you like some cream?"
i said "i'n my tea, er no thank you"
when and on what planet would you put cream in tea???
also this plane was freezing so i asked for a blanket and of course no such luck. so they said they would try to turn the air con down- surprisingly when each air con is controlled personally not much luck with that! i was so cold the entire time not even funny.
wow i whinged a lot in this one eh? sorry about that. i think also i was struck with a bout of homesickness, so i had a little cry by myself in the airport which i had to control pretty rapid otherwise looking like a freak.
it was almost overwhelming at times, couldn't think of home or i'd start again. i think i was very tired and again feeling unwell.
i'm over it now
so take a look at the pic and stuff and i hope everyone is ok. sorry for spelling errors i'm trying to do this quickly and there's no spell check lol
