We had a nice lay in and had breakfast at 10am, we went to 'The Meeting Point' restaurant. Mary from Finland served us again, we both had chicken rice soup and found it very tasty.
After breakfast we rented a Honda Click automatic scooter for 24 hours costing us 200 THB (£4). We then made our way to 'Nui Beach', we parked up and walked through a short but very steep jungle path. There were big rocks on this beach where we saw lots of small crabs. After this we moved onto 'Klong Nin beach', this was a larger beach with clear warm sea, the sea was like bath water. Jay went snorkelling and saw a Lion fish which was beautiful. After this we went on the scooter to get to 'The South Lanta waterfall'. We rode across a dusty dirt road that was unlaced and bumpy. When we arrived at the parking bay, we saw some beautiful elephants. We decided to walk the rest of the way to get to the waterfall, this journey was extremely hot and sweaty. We trekked through a dirt track to arrive at a rainforest. We came across a local who warned us of a large snake in the tree above us but we could not see it so we continued with our trek. This was rocky, muddy and wet! After approximately fifteen minutes into the trek we were unable to continue because we wore unsuitable footwear (flip flops) which became slippery and hazardous due to the soggy mud. We then walked back to our scooter and headed north to 'Kantiang Bay' where there was a beautiful beach.
After 'Kantiang Bay' we went back to our resort to have a swim in our pool. After we swam we went back to our room to have a shower whilst doing this a storm rolled in. Because of the storm we decided to have dinner at our resort. Jay had stir fried ginger beef and Helen had Thai chilli chicken. We had steamed rice and tempura shrimp to share. This was a nice dinner. Jay had a small bottle of Singha beer and Helen had mango juice which were also nice. As we were going back to our room we remembered we had to book 'Koh Rok' for the next day which cost 1300 THB each (£26 each).
