We are now in a national park called Khao Sok. It is fairly well known, and most of the travel books recommend it as a great place to see animals in the wild. We had half a day's travelling from Ton Sai to get here and are staying in a little tree hut. We are paying $8 a night for the accomodation which is owned and run by a british bloke who happens to be an excellent cook. We have both been a bit crook in the guts (Kerry quite a bit worse than i), i suspect we ate something dodgy on our last day in Ton Sai. Oh well, we were told it would happen, its certainly not as bad as it could be. Yesterday we hired a scooter which i am blasting around on at the moment. It is so much fun, and helmets are unheard of. Yesterday we both rode to a local cave (and Monk temple inside the cave) which was a great thing to see. We are just about to jump on some tyre tubes and float down a pretty significant river here. Apparently it takes 3 hours to drift to where we get out. Can't wait. Tomorrow we are going elephant riding. Apparently we ride the elephant for an hour or so to a waterfall. After that, we are not quite sure whether we are staying here a bit longer, or moving onto another island off the east coast of Thailand (probably Ko Phan Nang). I have uploaded a few more images in the gallery under thailand, so make sure you check them out.
