Samantha I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog as I recently moved to Frutillar from the States to teach English. It has definitely been a wonderful, challenging,, and interesting experience. Chao!
re: Frutillar, Termas De Puyehue and Puerto Montt, ChileSusan Hi Heather and Darren, I am enjoying reading about your adventures. I am copying bits and pieces of info for Natasha's school report. Especially descriptions of the food, vegetation, agriculture, and markets. And anything else interesting like the bug butt nectar! Keep it coming!
re: Cochamo Valley, Chileann palmer Dear Darren & Heathe!! This was fantastic reading!! I almost felt like I was with you both!! Its been a few days since I've had news of you - I'm going to check Facebook now to see if you've written on your profiles. Be safe and all our love to you both. Mum XXXXXX
re: Cochamo Valley, ChileAmy MacKinnon Hey lady and gent, glad to hear you made it safe and sound and are having a good time! Tip #1: you will be starving a lot as you typically only eat in restaurants and it always takes longer to find one than you think. Take lots of snacks. Banana chips are good (but supper salty) and there are lots of unhealthy chips and chocolate bars but they do the trick. Tip #2: Get used to cold showers. Drink wine before showering and you will be warmer ;). Can't wait to read more!
re: Puerto Montt, ChileEvelyn Davis I hope you took a picture of the chaos and the bus. Like what is it like, modern w/washrooms or what?
re: Santiago, ChileMom Evelyn Star 5 not 1 So what is the temperature? Does everything shut down for the 4 hr. siesta? Did you get your water plain? Seems that the wine must be the safest thing to drink. Sounds like it's quite an adventure in everything you do! Love yah M&D Were there any other people waiting to eat upstairs? and what was the downstairs, or do I not want to know? Where are all the children? They must have to eat too! Did you take a picture of the worlds smallest bath tub?
re: Puerto Montt, ChileSusan Hi Heather and Darren, Love the pictures! It is so beautiful! We are pulling bits and pieces of interest out of your blog to use for Tasha's report. Thanks for all the detail!
re: Valparaiso, ChileNatasha Thanks Auntie for the info about Chiliean wineries and the buses. If you can get a hold of some paper and crayons, Natasha was wondering if you could make a Flat Stanley. If you can get a hold of these items then I will tell you who and what Flat Stanley is. Love from your nieces and nephew back home.
re: Santiago, ChileAnn Hi Heather & Darren!!!!! This is my first time to your blog and its wonderful!!! So informative and also lets me know you're doing well!! Love you both and think of you every day. Mum (Ann)
