Final 12 hour flight = death
Had another two dinners which I didn't feel like eating at the time. Some sweet Korean spicy octopus rice dish for the first meal. Turned out much nicer than I thought but man I wish I could understand what they were trying to say.
Asked if they had rum and got my first ( of many) confused looks for the flight. Sadly I had to opt for red wine instead, to my consternation the Aussie next to me took great pleasure in correcting my pronounciation of red so the air hostess could understand me.
Emily got the last laugh though, didnt have space in the little glass wine cup we had when they came round for refills. So naturally held up the other cup to be filled instead, the lovely air hostess hesitated, and in an innocent broken English Korean accent pointed out 'ah... This is actually or tea'. Emily encouraged her through the dilemma and ended up with a nice mug of red wine.
For the second meal (a good 10 hours into it) the nice air hostess asked us what we wanted. Little did she know however that I was past the stage of being able to make decisions. Her confused face when i said 'lucky Dip' was very cute. We persevered and got there in the end, the chicken wasn't very nice though.
Had some broken sleep, watched war horse and shed a bit of a tear, stupidly attempted a sudoko in the final 30 mins of the flight (it won) and eventually made it to gatwick airport. Our bags made it there too! Yay!
After a phone conversation with several different accented ppl I ordered out taxi and after a weeny bit of a wait got picked up by I'm pretty sure a British Indian. When I asked where he was from he stated he live i Surrey. I didn't have the energy to say no I mean originally but that's ok.
Checked in to Menzies chequers hotel had a sweet shower and slept oh my did we sleep.
The walls are thin though, celebrations by some young males in the room next to us we're cut short by what I presume was their other neighbour telling them to be quiet in a few different words.
The owls outside were having a competition to see who could hoo the loudest.
Sadie the cleaning lady got to see my morning face when she knocked on our door at 9am. She backed away very quickly apologising profusely so I'm pretty sure I must have looked a treat.
All in all another winner.
Emily rolled over not long after this saying "oh I feel like a foot that just got out of a tight shoe"
I thought it felt more like the feeling you get after wearing tight jeans all day then coming home and putting on comfy pants.
I think the general consensus was we were really liking lying horizontal after a day and half of sitting upright in a small space with only an hour of vertical in korea.
Malteasers for breakfast. Yum!!
Queens jubilee today but sadly well miss the celebrations in London, heading to Dublin instead.
But hey we can still claim to the grand kids we were in London for her 60th jubilee celebrations.

M Blackburn Well done surviving the long haul and getting well earned vertical sleep! Probably easier to see jubilee celebrations on TV! Mx
