First stop in the Netherlands was at the cheese and clog shop. We learnt how their farm cheese was made, saw the cows and cowlings just like the ones back home. Then met the crazy clog guy who gave us a very entertaining demonstration of how clogs are made. We're pretty sure he was high whilst talking to us, thus his general erratic and entertaining behavior. When in Amsterdam....
Arrived at our hostel the stayokay in zeeburg. Pretty sweet room with 3 other Aussie girls. Had a mean little attic type bed thing.
Had a mad rush for a quick change before jumping on the bus to get into Amsterdam central for a dinner. The optional activity tonight was going to the sex show and then a tour of the red light district of Amsterdam. Such a weird concept that this kind of work is such an accepted profession in this city. That along with all the cafes selling all types of drugs and letting people consume them either in the cafes or anywhere on the streets. Amsterdam definitely had a distinctive smell to it.

Our tour guide Emily was keen for a boogie tonight so showed us the places to go.
Decided to skip the bike tour in the morning and sleep in the next morning. Caught the tram into dam square and sampled some Dutch pancakes. Delicious.
Then us girls got our shop on. Amsterdam has some amazing shopping. We barely went 500 metres down a street and were able to spend a good few hours trying to get anywhere.
Caught the tram back to the hostel and got ready for our final dinner out and boat cruise.

Dinner was at the sea palace and the food was really yum.
Boat cruise was amazing. Flipping awesome hosts and driver who let the girls have a steer of the boat for a bit. Was definitely a great way to end the trip, everyone was singing and dancing and having an awesome time.
So after our hour and a half on the boat was up it was only fitting that we carried in to town. Had a really fun night.
Almost didn't wake in time to pack up my bags in time luckily emily persisted in not letting me fall back to sleep. Managed to have a bit of breakfast before jumping back on the carrot and snoozing our way to Belgium.
