Hi all,

We have finally arrived in Bangkok after what seemed to be a really quick journey, it felt like we spent more time in Heathrow than we did on the plane!!

All is well here, its sooooo hot but the sun isn't shining as much as we would like, no chance of catching a tan here! We've had a bit of an adventure today being chauffered around by our very own tuk tuk and what an experience that was... dodging in and out of traffic, playing chicken with any on coming cars and driving down the most narrow side streets known to man!

We have visited a few temples, and were really "lucky" to be able to go in a temple to see the LUCKY Buddah as it is only open once a month (or so we are told!)

The Buddah experience increased further as we were taken to another temple where we saw a giant 45ft buddah! Soon after we found ourselves in the thai travel association where after hours of hard negotiating and typical thai business ethics we finalised the rest of our thailand adventure thanks to a lovely thai lady named Sonya! And she even threw in a complimentary day trip to the famous floating market and tiger temple, do expect pictures of tiger wrestling!

So off to chaing mai on monday via a 14hour trip on the sleeper train where we will begin a short jungle trek and a ride on the elephants, hayley is really sorry V!
