Happy new year to all, i hope you had a good time whatever you got upto. We had a fantastic new years at Mrs McQuarries Chair near the botanical gardens. There was a great view of both the bridge and the opera house so as you can imagine it was absolutly packed, 20,000 people to be exact. Plus it was free entry so it meant 4 hours of queuing from 10am to get a decent spot. But once we were in we had a really good view and had a bar and a picnic to wait out the fireworks. Just before midnight everyone stood up to get a better view, the fireworks themselves were amazing, i bet they were seen for miles! My camera didn't take very good photos so i mainly videod the fireworks. As videos take so long to upload ive only put the pre-firework pictures on here. We leave Sydney on Monday 5th and head right uo north of the east coast to Tully near Cairns. We have got jobs picking and packing bananas. It looks like we've landed on our feet too as accomodation is included and its only a 40 hour week. We also get paid by the hour rather then by how much we pick so we might not have to work as hard! I'm quite looking forward to it actually as its a chance to save some real money. So thats where i will be for the next three months, then we will make our way down the east coast! Whenever you eat a banana make sure you think of me!!!
