Hi all,
Sorry i haven't been in touch for a while, some of the computers in the hostels are ancient and take about 3 hours to load up! Well im in Glenwood Springs, Colerado which is in the rocky mountains about 3 hours from Denver. It is so beautiful here, All you can see is mountains topped with snow and hills covered in forests. The town itself is really humble and sweet, everyones very friendly and helpful which we haven't found in other parts of America. The hostel were staying in is the Glenwood Springs Hostel (very creative with the name!) it's like something out of the 60's! The guy that owns it is very hippy-esk and has a bowl haircut. Reminds me of Friar Tuck!!
Before we got to Glenwood Springs we were in Denver for two days. To be honest it was a bit of an impulse choice to visit there and there wasn't much in the way of entertainment. As im not into museums or artitecture i wasn't that impressed. However before Denver we were in the lovley Chicago. I really liked it there, the hostel was fab. It was a massive victorian building had had a huge communial kitchen and lounge. We met this french guy called Noah who was a musician trying to make his mark in Chicago. He was really nice and looked after everyone, he also had a daughter my age so he kept asking us what was 'hip' as he called it! We enjoyed a couple of nights there with a bottle of wine and Noah's guitar playing.
I know i haven't posted any pics yet and im really sorry, people keep telling me off! But i can only post them when i use an internet cafe as the hostel computers limit you on time and are pretty ancient. So as soon as possible i will let you see my pics. I must admit that they are mostly scenery at the moment because im still getting used to wearing no make up!! Hehe.
