KIM: Today was a chill day! Supposed to be anyway. I started the day with a little run. No exercise since Koh Tao, and I was aching to just run for a bit! Came home to my husband, with the same addiction to exercise as me, doing pushups! So chilled day, started out not so chilled. After an attempt to rent a motorbike that we decided against, breakfast at JJ Bakery (which although mentioned in the guide to SE ASIA on a BUDGET was rather pricey and also filled with a lot of old English men) we headed for a Wat (because for some reason we thought we hadn't seen enough of them in Bangkok. Wat Phra Singh is mentioned as the one not to miss. We could've missed it. We're swiftly learning that a Wat is a Wat. And when you don't know much about Buddhism... it's all the same same… but different (although not really that different)
The main parade was on this evening and we watched for a while before heading up to Roof top bar (think Drewberry junction) for a gin and tonic. Afterwards we headed up to the night market again and this time I walked away with a cute new pink and black bikini.
