Hello everyone in sunny UK!? (hehehehe)

Some people have asked what we got round to eating last night, well in the end after wandering round trying to find somewhere with food that Nathan would like (fussy git!) we went into Winnie Bagoes which was a posh pizza place, yeah we know, pizza again (for Nathan the unadventurous) but we were tired and hungry!

Anyway... today so far has been absolutely brilliant. 26oC sunny day. We started off with a lie in until 0830!! followed by a lovely breakfast in the B&B (http://orari.co.nz/bedandbreakfast.php) . Heart attack when we received a phonecall from the travel agents (hotel fully booked/massive explosion in next place/we hadn't actually payed and therefore had to leave the country ASAP etc ect...) but all they wanted to know is that we were ok - PHEW! :-)

We then had a nice trip seeing more of the area on the way to the gondola (cable car) that went up to top of a approx 500m hill overlooking Christchurch, Canterbury and Lyttleton (which by the way we absoloutely loved and could see ourselves living there!!). The views were amazing and have posted a few pics on here, but please bear in mind they are a minute proportion of the 200+ photos already taken, and are all of poor quality seeing as Natalie took them. We dont have a cable to connect Nathan's camera to the netbook - he has some cracking shots on there as you can imagine.

Back in Christchurch we travelled around on the tram (Ernie got told off by the conductor for not having a ticket... tut tut), then went up 134 steps (easy peasy!) to the top of the Cathedral and had lunch in one of the parks. Already found where we are eating tonight and dont even have to walk there as we can go on the tram again.

So, tomorrow we are being picked up at 0715 to be taken to the train station and will be going via the TransAlpine railway ( http://www.tranzscenic.co.nz/services/tranzalpine.aspx) across the mountains to Greymouth, followed by a coach again through the mountains to take us to our next stop in Franz Josef where we will be staying here :http://www.pungagrove.co.nz/ - lets hope their Wifi and our netbook get along together? .

We're not sure what internet there will be so who knows when our next blog will be. Gripping stuff hey?!!

Gotta dash now back to the B&B for our 6pm complementary glass of wine. Such a hard life we lead.
