Hi everyone! Jo and I are having a wicked time in Fiji - we went to Kuata the most southern of the Yasawa Islands in the north west, and are now back in Nadi for 2 nights. We were pretty active in Kuata, went snorkelling, sunset fishing, summit walking and kayaking. Needless to say Jo the ever impressive sports woman has outdone me already - she caught two huge fish and i caught nothing and today we went on a hike to see waterfalls and i almost died as she raced ahead!
Kuata was really chilled out and the people were so friendly, they cooked us some nice meals and our room was decent, although we did brave some cold showers and lacked a bathroom light! We were also treated to a Bula dance by some strapping young men - wahoo!
Waterfalls today were really pretty - we jumped in and realised it was freezing and i got nipped by a crab and screamed my lungs out because the water wasnt clear and i thought it was some sort of deadly water snake (my imagination exceeded me a little), funny though. Tonight we are going to have some drinkys as we dont have to get up early, then next stop NZ! Very exciting!
