hey all,

thanks for messages :) is nice to get them when we are able to log in! so - train journey from varanassi to mumbai - the 26 hour one - was actually ok - charlotte felt ill almost as soon as getting on the train - it was rocking like a boat! however, a bit of sleep sorted that out. rest of the journey went well - we just read and chatted and watched grays anatomy on the speaker box - was nice to have a bit of time to realise what we have done and also to plan the next bit as we hadnt done too much on that.

arrived mumbai at 11pm and when we arrivede at the hotel 45 minutres later they were fully booked so we had the same trouble as before trying to find somewhere else and get hold the guy in delhi regarding p[ayment for the hotel. aparantly we can collect from a hotel in goa but we shall see. slept in a tiny little hotel which was a bit like qa boat - then up at 5.30 and next train from mumbai to goa at 6.55. this journey was not really enjoyed to be honest - we had had enough from the day beofre so another 13 hours was too much. plus harvey got ill at 2 and then charlotte as we got off the train at 6 and we have been sick sick sick and groce groce groce until midday today. charlotte still feeling delicate but harvey holding up. we got dropped off at a guest house last night - literally in the middle of nowhere - taxi pulled up and harvey wne toff exploring to find the hotel and didnt come back for a good 20minutes. charlotte panicked somewhat! eventually some guy on a motorbike came and got charlotte and said harvey was waiting for her at the hotel so had to run behind a motorbike with no light through this dense palm tree grove on some sandy path which all felt doddgy. arriving at guest house and harvey no where to be seen. he has at this point come back to find charlotte! anyway we finally got settled in and the lady who runs the guest house is very mumsy so she has been really appreciated this morning when still not feeling well! not had great nights sleep so pretty tired now but harvey went out and rented a jeep this morning so we have been exploring the coast line - and got caught in a monsoon! soaked and still wet!

we have been trying to sort phone out but the international cards been difficult to find.
