hi all

just to let you know we have arrived safe and sound in delhi. everything ran smoothly from the airports including pick ups but have we thrown ourself intot the deep end or what?!

we are staying in a place in the same street as cows that just wander around as they please and sleep next to people on the floor, some of whom dont even have a sheet to cover u-p under. quite a lot of poverty where we are and its a bit of a dump really! heart of india stuff! arriving to this after over 24 hours of travelling last night and in the dark was pretty unsettling but things are a bit better in day light!

will keep you all updated, are in the process of trying to sort out a trip to rajasthan at the moment. have been with a driver today who has taken us round delhi - been to the red fort where these little boys tried to pick pocket harvey 4 times, even when he had his hand in his pocket once! and these are the same boys that wanted to take pictures of me!

been in a cycle rickshaw to get there - crazy! at one point the traffic in the direction we were headed was so busy that he pulled onto the other side of the barrier and just cycled us against oncoming traffic!

big culture shock as expected but expecting it still doesnt quite prepare you. been to an awesome place for lunch.
