Merry Christmas from Medan! (for me, not so merry at the moment cause I'm strugling to use skype with my loved ones...grrrr)
It's not my favourite thing to be in a dusty and painfully humid city again, but Daryl and I came here for christmas so that we could more easily meet other couchsurfers.
So we had a Christmas party last night with about 20 people, mostly locals but there were a few Polish, one Argentinian and one Romanian. It was really nice, we ate well, played games and had long discussions. Very very nice people! We're lucky enough to be invited for a real Christmas dinner tonight at the Polish people's place:) And the best thing is that were all going for a 2-day trip to a place that's supposed to be a very untouched place where we can go trekking. And after that we'll probably all continue to Bukit Lawang to see some wild orangutans! I just really need to make a real plan for Singapore already... Seems like a big hustle to go by bus and ferry, but flights during this time are also very expensive:( I'm getting stressed:(
Okay, I'm just gonna take a deep breath now.
