Selamat siang! I spent yesterday just getting lost in the city. Nobody walks around here though, and there were constantly taxis honking and slowing down when I was walking by. It's really easier to get a taxi or ojek (motorbike taxi) than not to get one. The pedestrian lanes are really narrow and in bad shape, or non-excistant. I have happily arrived in Jakarta!!! I was pleasently surprised that there were no problems with my Visa on Arrival. I thought there'd be cause I read that everyone entering Indonesia has to have a ticket out of the country, and I don't have one since I'm leaving the country by ferry from Tanjung Balai Asahan and I couldn't track down where to get tickets in advance.
