Today we picked up the car we will drive around in while on holiday in Europe. It is a small French made car called a Peugeot. The steering wheel is on the left hand side of the car instead of the right. We also have to drive on the other side of the road. Sometimes it gets a bit confusing for Mum and Dad. They also have to change gears with the other hand. The seat belt is also on the other side. We had lots of trouble leaving Paris. We kept going in circles around the roundabout under the Arc De Triomphe. Dad said it was very stressful. Lily and I watched 'Hairspray' on the way on an iPod. We drove for 6 hours on tollways which cost money and people drive really fast. We arrived at Le Durantie Chateau in a village called Lanouaille in South West France. My Dad's friends organised the accommodation for us. 30 friends staying together for a Wedding in a nearby village church. For dinner we all sat in a huge room with a big dining table and ate pizza. There were lots of books in the room and old couch type chairs and a big chandelier.
